Ep 52: Why We Can’t Unhitch the Old Testament from Christianity with Cody Cook
Show Notes

In this episode I talk once again to Cody Cook, author of the book Unhitched: Why Jesus Can’t Be Divorced from The Old Testament. In this book, Cody critically examines the work of three prominent Christian thinkers who make various arguments that Christians ought to marginalize or outright ignore the Old Testament. We explore the work of Keith Giles, Greg Boyd, and Andy Stanley. Cody explains how many of their ideas have precedents that are rooted in antiquity and demonstrates the deficiencies and contradictions in their arguments. Cody then presents his personal interpretive framework for understanding the Old Testament and gives those that struggle with the Old Testament suggestions for better understanding the works that are included within it. This is one you will not want to miss!

If you are interested in getting this book for free, check out Cody's Amazon site where you can download Unhitched (as well as his other works) on Kindle and no cost until Friday, March 24, 2023. Enjoy!
